Wincanton invests in 48 mobile robots for Northampton hub


Wincanton has made a multi-million-pound investment in 48 autonomous mobile robots to accelerate its e-commerce capabilities. It said the new AMR fleet would provide it with greater flexibility in its operations, enabling it to better manage the fluctuating product volumes associated with e-fulfilment work. The fleet will be deployed in the summer of 2022 at Wincanton's Cygnia distribution centre in Northampton, home to some of the UK's leading mid-market, growth-oriented e-commerce brands.
