£1bn West Midlands Interchange site to create 8,500 jobs as developers target 2023 launch


Oxford Properties' West Midlands Interchange (WMI) site, which is set to launch in 2023, could create around 8,500 new jobs. Work is set to begin shortly on the project, after Oxford Properties and its partner Logistics Capital Partners (LCP), announced the appointment of Winvic Construction to design and build the scheme. The GBP1bn, 734-acre WMI Strategic Rail Freight Interchange project, located at junction 12 of the M6, will offer over 8m sq ft of commercial space.
