The accident involving three vehicles was reported just after 5:30 p.m. near the intersection of East Willow and North State streets, according to Onondaga County 911 Center dispatches. A white car and a black SUV with damage from the crash were near the overturned pickup truck.

A 911 call center operator said only one ambulance was sent to the scene and there were no major injuries. A person was being treated inside the back of the ambulance. A large outage that left more than 1,000 people near Syracuse’s North Side without power was reported to have begun at about 2 p.m.

Tuesday and power was expected to be restored by 10:45 p.m., according to National Grid. The outage caused several traffic signals to be without power on James Street and near South Townsend and East Fayette streets. The traffic signal at the intersection of East Willow and North State streets was without power after the crash, but it is unclear if there was power before the crash.

Several police cruisers and fire vehicles blocked traffic from entering the intersection of East Willow and North State streets. Police could be seen talking to a man and a woman after the crash. A Syracuse police spokesperson was not immediately available to comment on the cause of the crash.
