Guildford London Road station stabbing sparks British Transport Police CCTV appeal

A stabbing at a Guildford train station has prompted British Transport Police to issue a CCTV appeal. At 11pm on November 4, the victim was sat on the stairs leading to the platform at Guildford London Road railway station when was approached by two men who asked if he had a mobile phone. The two men then held him by the shoulders before a third man approached and stabbed him in the leg twice.

The three men then boarded a train from Guildford London Road station at 11.11pm. A British Transport Police spokesperson said: "They are believed to have got off that train at Surbiton, and boarded a second train destined for Clapham Junction in London. "Officers believe the men in the CCTV images may have information which could help the investigation. "If you recognise them, or have any information, please contact British Transport Police by texting 61016 or calling 0800 40 50 40 quoting reference 2000081421.
